What’s Zuckerberg been up to?

Are you sitting down? Because what I’m about to tell you in just staggering. Just in case you’ve been living under a rock and don’t know who Mark Zuckerberg is, let me explain. Mark is the original founder of a little website called Facebook. Mark started Facebook when he was just 19 years old and the rest, as they say, is history.

The Forbes global rich list currently has Mark ranked at #5.

In the first two weeks of 2017, Mark earned a whopping  £4.1 BILLION!

This, in turn, made Mr.Zuckerberg the biggest earner of 2017 so far.

Facebook share prices hit an all-time high and Mark owns a very large amount of them (410 million shares); making him worth an obscene amount of money, estimated at around £44 billion. Not bad for a 32-year old eh?

The rise in Facebook’s share prices hasn’t been put down to anything in particular. That said many think it could be in due to the fact Facebook’s very publicly declared war on fake news. If you’ve forgotten, this war sprang from the recent Cambridge Analytica developments. As there was no fact-checking on Facebook, misinformation spread widely during the US election.
